I LOVE BB and her hilarious brain.
I LOVE Ken (in a book boyfriend kind of way).
I swooned, I cried and I laughed my way through this wonderful story.
We got to piggyback on BB journey from high school to college in both maturity and self-discovery.
I loved her inner monologues and self-deprecating humor.
We experienced the raw emotions and the heartbreak through –
Knight, a skinhead tattoo artist, Harley, an easy going tattooed mechanic, Hans, the tall tattooed handsome bass player and then Ken and her challenging path to an HEA.
“Ken was no boy. He wasn’t even a man.
He was a rare subspecies, commonly referred to as a gentleman, that I didn’t even know existed.”
“It didn’t make any sense. He wasn’t my type. He’d never once come on to me. And he was about as emotionally available as a cucumber. But there was an intoxicating current of energy surrounding him that I couldn’t get enough of. “
“Nine words.” His chest expanded, nostrils flared. “I can say nine words.”
Oh, Ken. That reached in and squeezed my heart like a sponge that forced tears out of my eyes.
I’d thought I loved Ken before, but what I’d fallen in love with were mere glimmers of the qualities he truly possessed. Now, they were on full display in high-definition. His strength. His selflessness. His grace. His love. I’d kissed a prince, and somehow, he’d turned into an even better prince.
I can’t thank BB enough for expanding on each of the 4 Men’s stories.
I have enjoyed this journey and as sad as am for it to be over, I can’t wait to see what BB brings us next.
