This 𝔻𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕪 Blonde LOVED 𝔻𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕪 Headlines.
I fell head over Chucks for Célian.
This was such a refreshing book.
I loved their sharp witty banter, the storyline, and both main characters.
What starts as a supposedly one-night stand with a touch of thievery ends up being an office, enemies (sort of) to lovers steamy romance.
I absolutely LOVED Jude.
She’s a Chucks wearing good girl from Brooklyn
She was smart, hard-working, big-hearted, sassy and didn’t take any crap, even at the start of her new job.
She had a great sense of humor and was so sweet and selfless with her Dad.
Her apologies to Jesus were hilarious.
Célian was an a**hole and if loving him is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
His one-liners, quick comebacks, and work ethics/integrity made him extra lovable for me.
I’m a sucker for clever wit, especially from a broken H.
Their steamy scenes together and Célian’s dirty talking made my Kindle warm.
Also, thanks Leigh for writing me into the shower scene. (Except, my blonde has an “e”)
“But all I could think of was the girl who’d yelled at me last week at the bar, then sought me out with her green-brown eyes and wouldn’t let go of my goddamn thoughts, long after I got back to my apartment. And into my shower, where I’d fisted my cock and imagined her smart mouth wrapped around it as I came all over my 𝔻𝕀ℝ𝕋𝕐 𝔹𝕃𝕆ℕ𝔻 tiles.” 😉
I didn’t want their story to end and I wouldn’t mind Phoenix having his own story.
I crushed on him too.
Some favorite quotes:
“I stole his wallet and he stole my heart”
I realized it really didn’t matter how Célian had treated me because love was not a chess game.
It was Twister.
You got all wrapped up and stumbled over your own feet, but that was part of its charm.
“My second climax soared from my toes to my head like an electric shock, sending me to heaven, and when he closed his lips over my swollen clit and sucked it with force, I was pretty sure every angel in my vicinity got their wings.”
“I can’t fall in love, Célian. I’m broken.”
“Good. Let’s be broken together, then.”
